Ingredients

Resources breakup [Expand]

The Tek Turret is a fully automatic turret which can automatically target and fire on enemy dinos, players, both, or all (which includes wild dinos) within its range, but does not target explosives such as  Rocket Propelled Grenades,  Grenades and  Tek Grenades. The fact that the turret does not need whatsoever guidance makes it an invaluable resource to defend against raiding, whilst your tribe is offline.

This turret uses  Element Shard as ammo. The Tek Turret requires electricity from a  Tek Generator to run. It is an upgraded version of the  Auto Turret.

Overview

Turrets tin can exist customized to attack players, tamed creatures, and/or wild creatures. Turrets can too be set up to a custom range. Turrets can also shoot above and below — assuming they take a line of sight of the target — making them a good defence force against flyers. The Tek Turret can likewise be set to exclude which dinosaurs y'all do not want it to shoot at.

Settings

Range

The Tek Turret has multiple range settings, which represent to the following distances:

  • Low: 20 meters (approx. 6 foundations)
  • Medium: 53 meters (approx. 14 foundations)
  • High: 81 meters (approx. 20 foundations)

Targeting

There are half dozen targeting settings. (All of these settings ignore survivors and tamed creatures belonging to your tribe and alliances.)

  • All Targets: Attacks players, tamed creatures, and wild creatures.
  • Players & Mounted Creatures: Attacks players and creatures mounted by a player.
  • Players & Tamed Creatures: Attacks players and tamed creatures.
  • Only Players: Attacks only players.
  • Merely Wild: Attacks wild creatures.
  • Only Tamed Creatures: Attacks tamed creatures.

Alarm

The alarm setting will give intruding players time to go out the expanse before they are shot at. Alarms take some time to reset, and then if the intruding player hides inside the turret'southward range, they will be shot at immediately without another alarm.

  • four Second Alert
  • ii Second Alarm
  • No Warning (default)

Annotation: The warning doesn't filibuster the projectiles shot.

Exclusion/Inclusion Targeting Settings

Tek turrets are special compared to any other turret, they have the option to select which dinosaurs/animals the turret will shoot at. If the turret is prepare to exclusion mode, whatever fauna(s) yous put in the exclusion list will NOT exist shot at by the tek turret. If the turret is set to inclusion mode, whatever creature(s) yous put in the listing will exist the But creature(s) the tek turret volition shoot at.

Level Targeting Settings

Similar to the exclusion/inclusion targeting settings, the tek turret can also be set to shoot at a specific level category (ex: it can be set to shoot at simply creatures between levels 50 and 100).

Damage Multipliers

  • As of patch 231.4, turrets practise 2.2x impairment vs. all dinos.

There is no longer any dissever multiplier for flight dinos.

Engram

The Tek Engram is unlocked past killing the Broodmother on alpha difficulty.

Placement Restrictions

As of 242.0, the Tek Turret can no longer exist built on Quetzal, Brontosaurus, Mosasaurus, Plesiosaur, or Paracer platform saddles. Any existing turrets on such platforms volition no longer burn down. This is a server selection of "OverrideStructurePlatformPrevention=true". Otherwise they're now merely immune on Rafts and not-moving Bases.

In that location is also a limit of 100 turrets that can be placed within a 10000 UE-unit (~33.3 foundations) radius. This applies to the combined total of all  Machine Turrets,  Heavy Auto Turrets, Tek Turrets, and  Constitute Species X. This number tin be raised in server settings. This check is washed on a turret by turret ground, so dissimilar numbers will show up depending on how far away turrets are from each other. If a limit is exceded, turrets will withal shot but wont be able to be replaced if removed or destroyed.Start your turret defense from the eye, then proceed each side and expand. The turrets in the center will exist at 160/100 and the outer ones around 100/100-110/100.

Notes
